Jordan Belfort’s former wife has confirmed that a risqué scene in The Wolf of Wall Street was true to life.
The 2013 film featured Leonardo DiCaprio as Belfort, with Margot Robbie playing his second wife, Naomi Lapaglia.

Robbie took a daring step during her audition to secure the coveted role alongside the Oscar-winning actor, ultimately making the film her breakout performance.

Directed by Martin Scorsese, the film included a memorable moment when Robbie went off script and slapped DiCaprio during her audition. This bold move impressed Scorsese, leaving him ‘stunned,’ and DiCaprio found the incident amusing.

Since the film’s release, Nadine Macaluso—Belfort’s ex-wife and the inspiration for Robbie’s character—has clarified what was true and fictional in the story.

In a TikTok video, Macaluso recounted her first meeting with Belfort, as shown in the movie.

In the film, their initial encounter occurs while Belfort and his friends are heavily indulging in drugs.

Macaluso explained that this explicit scene mirrored reality quite closely, stating: “So you guys have been asking how did I meet Jordan, the Wolf of Wall Street.

“Well, it’s actually pretty similar to the movie. I was, I guess, 22 years old and modelling and my boyfriend at the time, said, ‘You want to go to this party in Westhampton in this house on the beach?’, and I was like, ‘Sure.’

“And so we pulled up, and I remember walking into the house, and there were all these people acting really weird. Little did I know that they were all Quaaluded out, I had no idea.”

What followed was also portrayed in the film, though Macaluso noted that her reaction was more intense in real life.

In the movie, DiCaprio’s Belfort approaches Lapaglia, while Jonah Hill’s character behaves inappropriately at the party.

Macaluso recalled: “They’re with their wives and they were like, just making lewd and weird comments.

“And that scene where someone actually exposes himself to me was true. And I actually got terrified by that.

“I’m 22. And I said to my boyfriend at the time, ‘We have to leave this party,’ and we left right away.”

Her reaction is certainly understandable…
