Italian fashion designer Donatella Versace received a flurry of compliments on her appearance while attending the premiere of The Devil Wears Prada musical in London.
At 69, Versace graced the red carpet with notable figures such as Elton John, Vogue’s editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, and actor Vanessa Williams on Sunday (December 1). She chose a dazzling gold minidress for the occasion.
The fashion icon posed for numerous pictures, which she later shared on Instagram, accompanied by a caption expressing her admiration for the musical, whose music was composed by Elton John.
“@eltonjohn you are a genius. I was hooked from the first note to the last. The show is mesmerizing,” she wrote.
Although Versace’s post primarily highlighted the musical, her striking appearance was what truly captivated her followers when she uploaded the photos online.
Her fans flooded the comments, describing her as ‘incredible’, ‘stunning’, and ‘perfect’. One remarked: “The hair color is perfection!”
Another follower exclaimed: “Donatella you look AMAZING!”
Some even suggested that Versace appeared almost unrecognizable compared to her past images. The Twitter account Pop Crave shared a photo from the London event, stating: “Donatella Versace debuts new look at opening night of the Devil Wears Prada Musical.”
“This is shocking not gonna lie,” commented one individual about her transformation, while another noted: “I had to do a double take. She looks AMAZING!!”
Her refreshed look sparked speculation about potential cosmetic procedures. Although she hasn’t publicly addressed having surgery, Versace mentioned in a 2010 interview that she didn’t support a ‘totally natural’ appearance for women.
“I don’t even know what my natural color is. Natural? What is natural? What is that?” she said at the time. “I do not believe in totally natural for women. For me, natural has something to do with vegetables.”
While Versace may not wish to unveil her completely natural self, some suggested that her recent photos were likely enhanced with a filter or photo editing tools.
One person commented: “It doesn’t appear like Donatella Versace got new work done, it was just a good filter & some editing.”
Donatella Versace has been at the helm of the Versace fashion brand as the artistic director since 1997. During her tenure, she has solidified the brand’s status as a luxury lifestyle entity offering a wide range of products, including clothing, accessories, and home furnishings.
