A priest named Gerald Johnson has shared his experience of visiting hell, stating that he “wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy.”
In 2016, Johnson suffered a heart attack and was briefly pronounced dead.

During this out-of-body experience, he claims to have visited hell and was surprised by the music he heard playing there.

While many might assume heavy metal would be the soundtrack of hell, it was not Metallica’s tunes echoing through the underworld.

Johnson revealed that it was actually Rihanna’s music being played, specifically her song “Umbrella.”

He took to TikTok to share his experience, describing hell as a place he wouldn’t wish upon anyone and detailing his observations.

He recounted, “My spirit left my physical body and I thought that I was going upwards, because I thought I had done so much good in this lifetime and helped so many people and basically made decisions that were godly decisions.

Instead of ascending, he found himself descending. He described a section of hell where music was played, similar to what is heard on Earth, but performed by demons instead of the original artists.

He continued, “It was some of the same lyrics that we hear here, I knew that on Earth a lot of the lyrics and the music and the songs are inspired by demons.”

According to Johnson, each song served as a reminder for the failure to worship God through music on Earth.

Among the songs being used for torment was Rihanna’s “Umbrella,” along with “Don’t Worry, Be Happy” by Bobby McFerrin.

While some might find Rihanna’s music to be a hellish experience, many of her fans eagerly await her next album since her last release in 2016.

Fans have been anticipating the release of what they’ve dubbed ‘R9’ ever since the “We Found Love” singer mentioned she aimed to release it by the end of 2023.

As the summer of 2024 approaches, the album is still unreleased.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Rihanna mentioned, “Now, I’m prepared to go back in the studio. […] I’m gonna start.”

The artist, a mother of two, explained that she’s starting anew with the album but won’t entirely discard the work she’s already done.

Hell might be in need of some new tracks, RiRi!
