The journalist who felt ‘humiliated’ by Blake Lively has broken her silence following the actor’s lawsuit against her co-star in the film It Ends With Us, Justin Baldoni.
Earlier this year, Norwegian journalist Kjersti Flaa recounted her 2016 interview with Lively for the Woody Allen movie Café Society.

On August 10, Flaa uploaded a video to her YouTube channel titled: “The Blake Lively interview that made me want to quit my job,” featuring footage from their conversation.

“Sitting down with Blake Lively and her co-star Parker Posey for Café Society (2016) is the most uncomfortable interview situation I have ever experienced. Is it not ok to congratulate someone on their pregnancy or to ask another woman about costumes she is wearing in a film?” Flaa wrote in the video’s description.

In the interview, Flaa congratulated Lively on her pregnancy and ‘little bump,’ to which Lively replied: “Congrats on your little bump.”

Flaa also inquired if Lively and Parker Posey enjoyed wearing their costumes, to which Lively responded: “Everyone loves to talk about the clothes but I wonder if they would ask the men about the clothes?”

Flaa told UNILAD she was ‘kind of in shock’ when the interview concluded as she left the room.

In light of Lively’s lawsuit against Baldoni, Flaa has taken to social media to clarify her position because the NYT report noted: “It wasn’t the first time she had posted a video aligned with a client of Ms. Nathan. In 2022, in the midst of Mr. Depp’s legal battle with Ms. Heard, Ms. Flaa posted clips of her interviews with the actor, tagged #JusticeForJohnnyDepp.”

Flaa wrote on Threads: “Just wanted to put it out there. I have nothing to do with Justin Baldoni and his smear campaign against Blake Lively.”

“I see that things are starting to snowball and people start thinking that I had anything to do with the smear campaign against Blake Lively.”

Flaa further commented on video: “I also read the article in the New York Times this morning. I’ve been reading through the lawsuit and I see there’s been so much dirty work going on behind-the-scenes.”

“I just wanted to say I had nothing to do with it.”

Flaa concluded: “I would never take part in anything like that. That’s such an insult to me.”

Blake Lively, known for her role in Gossip Girl, is making allegations against Baldoni of sexual harassment — claims the Baldoni camp strongly denies — along with ‘other behaviors that were shocking and emotionally distressing,’ according to the legal complaint.

Bryan Freedman, a lawyer for Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios, told The Hollywood Reporter in a statement: “It is shameful that Ms. Lively and her representatives would make such serious and categorically false accusations against Mr. Baldoni, Wayfarer Studios and its representatives, as yet another desperate attempt to ‘fix’ her negative reputation which was garnered from her own remarks and actions during the campaign for the film; interviews and press activities that were observed publicly, in real time and unedited, which allowed for the internet to generate their own views and opinions.”
