A source with insight into Jennifer Aniston’s perspective has commented on how the Friends actress is expected to interact with her ex-husband Brad Pitt after his divorce settlement with Angelina Jolie.
Pitt and Jolie finalized their divorce agreement on December 30, 2024, concluding an eight-year process that began when Jolie filed for divorce in September 2016.

Jolie initially cited ‘irreconcilable differences’ and sought full custody of their six children, who were aged between eight and 15 at the time.

The divorce proceedings were prolonged due to a custody trial, a dispute over Jolie’s interests in a French winery the couple co-owned, and allegations concerning a 2016 incident on a private jet.

Upon reaching a settlement at the close of 2024, Jolie’s attorney conveyed to CNN: “More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr. Pitt. She and the children left all of the properties they had shared with Mr. Pitt, and since that time she has focused on finding peace and healing for their family. This is just one part of a long ongoing process that started eight years ago. Frankly, Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved this one part is over.”

This development signifies the conclusion of Pitt’s second marriage, following his previous marriage to Aniston, which ended in 2005, shortly before his relationship with Jolie began.

An insider claiming familiarity with Aniston’s stance told the Mail Online that the Morning Show star ‘isn’t looking to talk about Brad and Angelina’s divorce publicly’, and similarly, she is not expected to address it in private.

“Nor is she looking to reach out to Brad and offer any congratulations,” the source added.

Since both Aniston and Pitt are prominent figures in Hollywood, the source noted they are likely to encounter each other at industry events and shared insights on Aniston’s approach to their next meeting.

“The next time they see each other, they’ll be cordial with each other, they have been in the recent past and that won’t change,” the source explained.

“They will talk about life and mostly anything else, but they aren’t going to dive into his feelings about the divorce or anything like that. Angelina is not a talking point between them and that will remain the same forever.”

The source also indicated that Aniston maintains a ‘friendly’ relationship with Pitt, asserting that any issues between them have been ‘settled’ and they will ‘never stop being respectful with each other’.

“Jen would love Brad to be happy first and foremost, and believes he is happy,” they stated.
