TikTok user Mystee (@mysteeipong) shared her experience on the platform, showing the moment she and her husband uncovered a hidden area within their New York residence. Watch their discovery here:
In a series of videos, the TikToker explained her findings, prompted by her suspicion of a leak and water backing up from an unusual section in the basement.
Mystee’s husband, Ken, joined the exploration of the basement, helping to uncover the ‘fascinating history’ of what they found.
The social media influencer mentioned to her audience that Ken and his family have experience with ‘very creepy stuff,’ which she believed would be beneficial.
In the viral video posted last week, Mystee, who is passionate about history, revealed her peculiar discoveries.
She found a sealed-off door in her basement, leading to an unknown room.
“You can even see a doorway around it,” she noted in the TikTok video.
Even with their apparent experience, the couple didn’t have the right tools to handle the situation fully.
“Luckily they are cinder blocks so they are hollow on the inside, we got through the first part but we have yet to get through the second part,” she explained.
“The reason why we haven’t been able to get through is because this room is filled with rocks.”
Mystee took it upon herself to investigate further and discovered that the room in her house might have had a connection to a tunnel.
“I didn’t know that my house had ties to the underground railroad,” she said, noting: “We looked up Clarkson and sure enough, eight minutes away there is a station.”
The TikTok video attracted many viewers, with several expressing their unease over the footage.
“I have never been so creeped out and invested at the same time,” one user commented.
“Am I the only one that thinks that room is sealed off for a reason?” another questioned.
Meanwhile, another viewer advised: “Keep the sage burning, there’s no telling what will be released from there.”
How would you react in this scenario?
