Jay-Z is in matrimony with fellow music icon Beyoncé, having married her in 2008, and they have three children together.
In 2023, Rymir approached the Supreme Court, hoping a judge would mandate Jay-Z – whose real name is Shawn Carter – to undergo a paternity test.
He initially began filing legal actions regarding the rapper in 2010 when Rymir’s late mother, Wanda, petitioned a Pennsylvania court to compel Jay-Z to undergo a paternity test to ascertain her son’s true father.
Wanda asserts she had a short-lived romance with Jay-Z in 1992 while she was still intermittently involved with Robert Graves.
Robert was one of the two individuals named in Wanda’s 2010 petition, and after taking a paternity test, he was not identified as Rymir’s father.
Considering this, Wanda and Rymir have persistently sought to have Jay-Z take the test since that time.
However, the 31-year-old alleges that Jay-Z’s legal team has been taking measures to prevent the music icon from undergoing the DNA test since the initial filing over ten years ago.
In a renewed attempt, Rymir is making another effort to have Jay-Z take the test.
In an interview with Daily Mail, Rymir expressed: “I want to resolve this and get this matter done. I really do. I don’t want any money. I just want the truth.”
He shared what he would say to Jay-Z if they ever met, stating: “Honestly, I don’t got nothing against you. I just feel like we could get this resolved. I was never chasing you.”
“I was never chasing you for fame. I just really want to resolve this. I just want to resolve this and get this matter done. This could all be done with one simple test.”
“I just really want it over with. It is something that is really affecting my life and I just want it over with. My mom passed away during this case and I really feel like I have unfinished business.”
Wanda, who was 16 when she became pregnant with Rymir, passed away in 2019.
