Videos of the raging fires have spread widely, with at least four additional fires igniting, and officials stating that three remain ‘uncontained’ and are ‘rapidly expanding.’
Many Hollywood celebrities are among the hundreds of thousands who have been ordered to leave their residences, while five fatalities have been reported due to the fires.
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a red flag warning, which will remain in effect until 6 pm the following day (January 10).

Adam Brody’s residence in Los Angeles has reportedly been ‘reduced to rubble and ash,’ as stated by TMZ.
The outlet published images showing ‘black smoke’ rising from the remnants of the property.
Brody and his spouse, Leighton Meester of Gossip Girl fame, are said to have acquired the home in 2019, where they lived with their two children.

Miles Teller, known for his role in Whiplash, and his wife Keleigh Sperry Teller are among the stars experiencing home loss due to the fires, the Daily Mail reports.
The Tellers, who wed in 2019, had purchased their 6,600-square-foot mansion in April 2023.

Paris Hilton’s Malibu residence has also succumbed to the flames, as she shared on social media, having witnessed the destruction of her home live on television.
On Twitter, she expressed her sorrow, stating she was ‘heartbroken beyond words,’ highlighting: “This home was where we built so many precious memories.
“It’s where Phoenix took his first steps and where we dreamed of building a lifetime of memories with London.
“While the loss is overwhelming, I’m holding onto gratitude that my family is safe.”
Hilton offered her condolences and prayers to ‘every family touched by these fires’, continuing: “The devastation is unimaginable. To know so many are waking up today without the place they called home is truly heartbreaking.”
Additionally, singer and actress Mandy Moore has voiced her sadness as her Altadena neighborhood was heavily impacted by the fire.
The This Is Us actress updated her followers on Instagram, stating: “This is Altadena. Leveled. My sweet home.
“I am devastated and gutted for those of us who’ve lost so much. I’m absolutely numb.”
Anna Faris, known for her role in Scary Movie, experienced the loss of her Pacific Palisades residence.
Her representatives informed People that “Anna and her family are safe and very grateful.”
The Hills personalities Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt also faced home destruction, with Pratt sharing a poignant post on Instagram.
He posted a picture showing thick smoke surrounding his sons’ nursery, commenting: “The one positive sign I saw as our house burned down was our sons’ bed burned in the shape of a heart.
“A sign of how much love was in this house so thankful for all the years and memories there with our family.”
Ricki Lake, known for Hairspray, confirmed the massive loss of her ‘dream home’ on Instagram.
“It’s all gone. I can’t believe I am typing these words,” she began. “It was our heaven on earth. The place where we planned to grow old together.
“We never took our heavenly spot on the bluff overlooking our beloved Malibu for granted, not even for one second.
“I shared our sunset views almost daily with all of you.”
Lake mentioned she would soon explain ‘how [she] escaped’, adding: “For now I grieve.”
Actor James Woods, famous for roles in Vampire and Once Upon A Time in America, became emotional when discussing losing his Pacific Palisades home on CNN.
“One day you’re swimming in the pool and the next day it’s all gone,” he explained to the broadcaster.
During the chaos, as he helped his elderly neighbor evacuate, Woods said: “There was so much chaos, it was like an inferno. Every house was on fire around us.”
He was visibly moved as he recounted how his wife’s young niece offered her piggy bank savings to help rebuild their home.
Renowned songwriter and Academy Honorary Award recipient Diane Warren confirmed her long-time home of almost three decades was lost to the fire.
She expressed: “There’s a rainbow shining on it which I’m taking as a sign of hope for all creatures who have been affected by this tragedy.
“The animals and the rescue ranch are OK tho which is the most important thing. Stay safe everyone.”
Actor Crystal and his wife, Janice, revealed they lost the home they had cherished since 1979 to the devastating fire.
In a statement, Crystal noted the only surviving structure was the tennis court.
He remarked: “We raised our children and grandchildren here. Every inch of our house was filled with love. Beautiful memories that can’t be taken away.
“We are heartbroken of course but with the love of our children and friends we will get through this.”
