In the widely shared clip, a man clad in an Eagles jacket is overheard calling a woman an ‘ugly dumb c***’ and also hurling insults at her fiancé, who accompanied her at the event.
Derrick Gunn, an NFL reporter, mentioned that the Eagles managed to identify the individual, leading to his ban from attending future matches.
Gunn tweeted: “The guy will be banned from future Eagles games.. the Eagles will be sending the woman Packers gear as an apology… Eagles once again showing what a class organization they are.”
Social media users also took initiative in identifying the man, aiding in the video’s rapid spread across various platforms.
The fan’s employer responded to the situation by stating they had investigated the matter and have now terminated his employment.
BCT Partners, a management consulting firm with a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion, issued a statement denouncing his behavior.
The statement declared: “In keeping with our company values, which are firmly centered on respect, dignity, and inclusion, we have decided to part company with the employee. This separation is effective immediately.
“We condemn our former employee’s conduct in the strongest possible terms.
“This individual’s conduct and language were vile, disgusting, unacceptable, and horrific and have no place in our workplace and society. Such conduct is not who we are and not what we stand for.”
The couple involved, Ally Keller and her fiancé Alex Basara, have since spoken to the local media about the ordeal.
Basara recounted the situation to NBC News: “He started out with playful jabs at first or kind of just saying things to us right when we sat down.
“I chatted with him for a bit. But then he just kept saying some of the same things. Continued through the entire game. It got worse and worse as the game went on. We were surrounded by Eagles fans. We were getting all the attention.”
The altercation between the two eventually deteriorated, with the Eagles fan directing personal insults at Keller.
