A man who participated in a cruise involving 2,000 nude individuals has shared insights on what transpires if a passenger becomes aroused during the voyage.

Earlier this year, nude cruises were a hot topic, with numerous participants speaking to the media about their experiences and what to expect when everyone is unclothed.

These cruises are designed to be non-sexual and safe for work, but one might wonder what happens if someone becomes overly excited.

A passenger who took part in a nude cruise with 2,000 people in March shared their experience on Reddit, providing details about the unique journey.

The seven-day, $2,500 cruise, organized by Texas-based Bare Necessities Tour and Travel, departed from Tampa, Florida.

Rather than detailing their experience outright, the Reddit user u/wisecommenter2 invited others to ask questions about the unique journey.

As an ‘experienced nudist,’ the user reported feeling ‘very comfortable from the beginning’ of the trip.

However, one can imagine potential awkwardness if someone becomes too enthusiastic about the naked surroundings.

User u/LostnHidden inquired: “Maybe not specific to the cruise, but nudism in general… I’m assuming boners just happen, since it happens in everyday clothed life, too. Are they frowned upon or just accepted in this environment?”

The original poster responded, sharing that, in their experience, arousals ‘almost never happen.’

“This cruise is very non-sexual, so a man would want to hide it somehow. Non-nudists think about this a lot more than nudists do,” they explained.

Another user, u/tortillini-houdini, asked: “What was the rule for boners?”

The user reiterated: “As I said above, this is something that non-nudists worry about a lot more than nudists. I’ve been a nudist for ten years and I’ve almost never seen one. Since this cruise is not a sex-positive event, the man would be expected to conceal it.”

If the ‘nudist thing is not sexual in nature at all’, user u/YoungandPregnant questioned, then ‘what is it for?’

The cruise participant responded by mentioning the enjoyment of activities such as swimming, dancing, and walking on the beach while nude, comparing it to the freedom of ‘skinny dipping.’

The user concluded: “If I’m candid, I don’t mind seeing naked women, so that’s nice too. It’s the same reason men don’t wear shirts to go swimming or on the beach. It’s a great feeling. I’m sure some people have an exhibitionist thrill, but I don’t. Also, I’m not sure that a naked person among 2,000 naked people could be considered an exhibitionist.”

This provides some clarity on what a nude cruise entails.
