Want to see ‘CCTV footage’ of a crocodile driving a car and a cat and a dog riding a bike together?
The image that is being circulated is from Yala National Park in Sri Lanka
This picture came on WhatsApp when I was reading the news of the trouble caused by elephants in the country. Night view from CCTV. Orana coolly climbs on top of the tree. A vehicle passing on the road below is also in the picture.
While not getting a clue as to how this party managed to climb the tree, the next picture reached WhatsApp. The character is an elephant. But not the CCTV view, but the regular camera. It also has a vehicle passing on the road.
Can an elephant climb a tree? I want to know how it happened. So it was discovered while searching the internet that the first CCTV elephant has gone viral in Thailand for a few days. It was from there that WhatsApp came to Kerala.
The origin is from a Facebook group in Thailand: The name of the group is ‘AI Creatives Thailand’. The thing must have been caught from that? The CCTV footage that we have created is made using Artificial Intelligence (AI), which has been discussed many times in this thread. That is, the elephant never actually climbed the tree!
AI Creative Thailand is a group that uses artificial intelligence to create images and discuss them. It is their hobby to fake CCTV footage. Go there and enjoy the nighttime ‘CCTV footage’ of crocodiles driving cars, cats and dogs riding bikes together!
When he went looking for the elephant star of the party in the second film, he came to Sri Lanka. At the bottom of the picture it is written that the scene is from Yala National Park in Sri Lanka. It is one of the largest national parks in Sri Lanka. It is full of animals. But there is no picture of the elephant climbing the tree on their website. If there is a logger like this, they will advertise it as much as possible. When Yala Park authorities were contacted through Hashtag Generation, a fact-checking agency in Sri Lanka, they flatly denied it.
Many social media accounts in Sri Lanka themselves claim that this elephant is also made by AI. This is also evident when checking AI image recognition apps. However, the real creators of this are yet to be found.
Did Pinarayi ask Congress for votes?
We all voted in Kerala yesterday. Many controversies erupted during the one-and-a-half-month long campaign, such as artificial video and morphed photos. There was no shortage of false propaganda on social media. Among these, one video was very interesting.
In Kerala, UDF and LDF were in a fierce battle. The video clip shows that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, who led the LDF, is preaching that he should vote for Rahul Gandhi, who is leading the UDF. (Scan the QR code to view)
In the clip, the Chief Minister says: ‘This election is going to be in a state where no one has a majority. Then, the party with the largest number of members or the leader of that party will be called to form the cabinet. Congress has to be the party with the largest number of members to call Rahul Gandhi. All the Congressmen contesting here should be prepared to win. Although LDF’s candidate did not win here, both groups are against BJP. The party likely to become prime minister and likely to form the government should ensure victory.
When there is such a tough competition, does Pinarayi Vijayan say that he should vote for Congress even if his own candidate is defeated? Not shocked!
But this video clip is not fake. The actual speech of Pinarayi is the same. But those who propagated this have done a trick. Only a portion of the video of Pinarayi’s original speech was cut and circulated. In his speech, Pinarayi explained the situation in which the UDF won 19 out of 20 seats in Kerala in 2019.
The clip only contains the part explaining the reason for UDF’s victory that day. There is no before or after. This is the speech given by Pinarayi in Kattappana on April 3. The entire speech is available on YouTube. Congress is severely criticized in it.
