Recently, Pornhub released additional data shedding light on user searches focused on fictional characters, particularly from movies and TV shows.
This year’s statistics show little variation from the previous year’s search trends.
Batman ranks as the 10th most searched character, with Deadpool occupying the ninth spot.
Black Widow is eighth, while The Incredibles, somewhat disturbingly, ranks seventh.
Wonder Woman (likely Gal Gadot’s version) is in sixth place, followed by Harry Potter in fifth.
Coming in fourth is Avatar, with Game of Thrones taking third, and Star Wars in second place.
The most-searched character, by a significant margin, is Harley Quinn, portrayed by Lady Gaga and Margot Robbie in recent films.
“This year, Harley Quinn took the top spot from Star Wars, no doubt because of the new Joker movie,” Pornhub’s press release stated.
“In 2023, the two were neck and neck, but this year Harley Quinn surged ahead. Game of Thrones, Avatar, Harry Potter, and Wonder Woman all retained their positions from 2023.”
The release also highlighted ‘lots of men in tights dominating the list,’ and noted that while many searches mirrored the previous year, this marks the first time Star Wars appeared on the list.
Although these searches may seem unconventional, professional sexologist Jessica Toscano argues that such fetishes are commonplace.
“Fantasy and kinks really go hand-in-hand, as kinks are essentially playing out fantasies,” she explained to Mail Online.
“Exploring kinks usually allows for more intimacy and pleasure in a safe, communicative, consensual environment.”
“Ultimately, kinks are healthy to explore and can improve your relationship with your partner as long as communication and consent are top priorities.”
