Their friendship traces back to the early 2000s and has resulted in numerous musical collaborations.
From tracks like ‘Crack a Bottle’ and ‘Don’t Push Me’ to ‘Patiently Waiting’ and ‘Till I Collapse’, Eminem and 50 Cent have often joined forces in the studio.
Collaborative albums are not uncommon in the music industry, with notable examples being Kanye West and Jay-Z’s Watch the Throne, and Ed Sheeran’s extensive collaborations in his No.6 Collaborations Project.
Given their longstanding relationship, many fans have been eager for Eminem and 50 Cent to team up for a full album—and there are signs it might be on the horizon.
During an appearance on the Whoo’s House podcast, Eminem, now 52, expressed that creating an album with the ‘Candy Shop’ artist would be ‘great’.
“I mean, I think that we just got to stop bull****ing and just do it,” he said.
Eminem, who is also anticipating becoming a grandfather next year, added: “I would never say it’s not possible.”
Besides the potential album, the duo is also collaborating on another venture.
Last year, it was announced that 50 Cent and Eminem are working on a television adaptation of 8 Mile.
In a June 2023 episode of Big Boy TV, 50 Cent stated: “I’m gonna bring his 8 Mile to television. We’re in motion.
“It’s gonna be big. I ain’t got no duds. I’m battin’ a hundred, I’m battin’ a hundred.”
He further explained: “I think it should be there for his legacy because it’s important to me that they understand it.”
If the TV series mirrors the success of other projects 50 Cent has been involved in, such as Power and BMF, it promises to be a hit with audiences.
Eminem has even appeared in BMF, making a cameo as White Boy Rick.
Reflecting on this cameo, 50 Cent told Entertainment Weekly: “When Eminem found out I was directing, he committed to do it, and working together was natural.
“It was an honor to have him on the show and it made this episode extra special.”
