The report suggested that Alabama, who is the daughter of Blink-182’s drummer Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler, stopped vaping about a month ago. She reportedly called 911 after experiencing discomfort while alone at home.
Alabama has since responded to these reports via a now-deleted Instagram Story post.
“I just want to clarify that I was not in the hospital this month or last. The situation occurred some time ago,” she informed her 2.1 million followers.
“And I was there for about three hours before being discharged.”
The teenager further explained: “They provided me with a nicotine patch and an inhaler, and that’s all. Let’s please avoid spreading any rumors and focus on moving forward. Thank you.”
On Thursday (December 26), Alabama shared on TikTok that she was dealing with the flu.
Two days earlier, on Christmas Eve, she marked her 19th birthday.
“I have not been okay. On my birthday, I didn’t even get to enjoy it because I was so sick,” Alabama mentioned in the video.
“But I am back on my feet, and I really want to give you guys a Christmas haul.”
In a previous year, Alabama discussed her father’s parenting style with her followers during a quiz session.
She posted a TikTok video revealing that her dad, who had a son named Rocky with wife Kourtney Kardashian in 2023 and also shares son Landon and stepdaughter Atiana with ex-wife Shanna, had rules that were ‘strict but not strict’ regarding her safety.
“I’m asking my strict but not strict dad hypothetical questions,” Alabama informed her audience.
“What would you do if I went out with a boy and I just completely stopped answering you?” she asked Travis, who was sitting behind her.
The musician replied: “I would come to your location, and I would find you.”
“Am I allowed to have guy friends over? Am I allowed to close my door with a guy in the room?” Alabama then asked.
Travis responded: “[A guy can come over] If I am. Not without me coming in the room and checking on you.”
When she questioned if she could drive to a guy’s house late at night, he firmly said ‘no’, which made Alabama laugh.
Throughout the video, Travis offered balanced answers, showing a protective nature while also explaining the reasoning behind his rules.
