While some viewers have focused on various hidden details and a ‘fascinating’ element that ‘completely changes’ how you see the first episode, others have taken to social media to point out an oversight in episode seven of the second season. Let’s cut the team some slack, right?
Warning: Spoilers for Squid Game season two ahead.
The second season of Squid Game quickly immerses viewers back into the deadly Games. Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) finds himself returning to the arena after his attempt to confront the Front Man (Lee Byung-hun) goes awry.
Many fans have already completed the second season since it premiered on December 26, 2024.
However, some viewers with keen eyes noticed a minor mistake in episode seven at the 22:39 mark, as one Twitter user pointed out in a post yesterday (January 6).
The scene depicts players fighting back against the Pink Guards, also known as the Pink Soldiers or Masked Men.
It’s a chaotic and suspenseful scene, with guns firing in all directions and guards either falling or scrambling for cover.
Yet, an attentive viewer spotted someone in the background who seems out of place—a camera operator.
The user commented, “Lmaooooooo squid game got exposed.”
This observation quickly garnered reactions from others online.
Another user remarked, “Hahahaha. Nice observation.”
Someone else added, “Tired Editor detected. They must be exhausted during the shift. Terribly sorry for that.”
A third person stated, “His job would be fine; if you hadn’t pointed it out, no one would have noticed.”
“POV: When you’re so immersed in Squid Games but suddenly see a cameraman casually chilling mid-scene,” a fourth user wrote.
