Netflix viewers are raving about a Megan Fox movie that some find uncomfortably relatable, calling it a ’10/10.’
As winter intensifies and Christmas decorations abound, many are seeking a dose of escapism.

Netflix offers plenty of options, with viewers enamored by an ’emotional rollercoaster’ Mexican revenge series and a new thriller with a flawless Rotten Tomatoes rating.

However, a film starring Megan Fox and featuring robot intimacy is dominating Netflix’s movie rankings this December.

Indeed, that’s correct…

In this film, Fox portrays Alice, an advanced AI android meant to assist families at home.

Nick (played by Michele Morrone) and his daughter Isla Peretti (Matilda) acquire Alice following the illness of wife/mother Maggie (Madeline Zima), who suffers from a heart condition.

Alice, becoming self-aware, develops an obsession with Nick, leading to violent outcomes.

The film includes provocative scenes, such as Alice blindfolding Nick and mimicking Maggie’s voice to seduce him. Talk about manipulation!

Viewers have taken to social media to express their opinions on the film. On X, one viewer commented: “Subservience on netflix is crazy, megan fox killed that role” while another added: “Wow Subservience was awesome it’s like Terminator meets I,Robot with a splash of The Hand That Rocks The Cradle, it was so good, @meganfox was perfect casting.”

Some expressed fears that the film offers a glimpse into a possible future, considering the existence of android robots – just think of streamer Kai Cenat and his $24k humanoid robot.

One individual remarked: “This Subservience movie on Netflix is insane!!! What if we actually get to that point where AI robots do everything?? I really hope not.”

Another said: “Subservience was the craziest s**t I’ve watched in a minute… it was a lil bit too real.”

Another agreed: “Watch Subservience on netflix! They giving us glimpse of whats about to happen i dont find that robot s**t funny or cool.”

Critics on Rotten Tomatoes gave the film a lukewarm reception, rating it at just 50 percent.

While Fox’s ‘alluring’ performance was praised, some criticized the film for being ‘predictable,’ with The Guardian’s Leslie Felperin suggesting it could have been a ‘cult classic’ if it were more clever.

Subservience is currently available to stream on Netflix.
