The way to restore the non-stick layer is very simple with fresh milk

Restoring the non-stick coating using  milk is an extremely effective and cost-saving method.  Milk contains a type of protein called casein, which, when heated, bonds together to form a coating on the pan’s surface. This quickly restores the non-stick capability.

Step 1: You can use either unsweetened or sweetened milk. First, pour enough milk into the pan to cover the entire bottom. Be careful to avoid spilling the milk, which could create a mess in your kitchen and require extra cleaning.

Step 2: Turn on the stove and bring the milk to a boil in the pan for about 5 minutes. Make sure not to use high heat to avoid burning the pan and causing the milk to overflow.

Step 3: After boiling the milk, turn off the stove and pour out the milk. Clean the pan thoroughly with water to remove any remaining milk or milk odor. Note: the milk used for this cannot be consumed. If you feel it’s a waste, you can let it cool and use it to neutralize odors in your refrigerator.

Step 4: To check if the non-stick coating has been restored, try frying an egg. You should find that the egg no longer sticks to the pan and can be flipped easily. This indicates that the non-stick properties of the pan have significantly improved by using this method.
